Founded in Berlin by Franz Schneeweiß and Barney Riley, who met while working on separate music projects, DELTAWELLE later expanded through various collaborations. Their second album, "Wir sind Staub im Kosmos", was recorded both in their rehearsal room in Leipzig and at Shimmerdown Studios in Berlin. The record shows the band's ongoing exploration of modern new wave aesthetics and combines poetic inspiration with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to songwriting.

Musically, DELTAWELLE's sound evokes the spirit of Neue Deutsche Welle, as if taking a nocturnal stroll through the subconscious - a blend of danceable synth rhythms and shimmering melancholy. The Berlin-based band skillfully combines introspective lyrics with energetic electronic sounds and builds a bridge between melancholy and movement.
