With well over 1,000 concerts and television appearances, the film orchestra can look back on a long and successful stage history. Performance venues include the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles, concerts in major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Calcutta and New Delhi with music by Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman and live film concerts at the Barbican Centre in London, the Polish National Opera in Warsaw and the Philharmonie and Waldbühne in Berlin. Annual events such as the "Classic Open Air" at Berlin's Gendarmenmarkt, the Elbland Festival in Wittenberge or the summer festival of the Federal President and the Brandenburg state government are part of the regular repertoire. The ensemble is also a regular guest at TV galas and award ceremonies such as the Golden Hen, the Bambi Awards and the German Film Awards.
