EITELKEIT from Hamburg. Singer and songwriter Oscar - formerly Oscar and vanity - now a band! They are joined by old friends from the La Pochette Surprise cosmos: Martin (Swutscher) on drums, Christian (Dunya) on bass, Obi on synth and Julian on lead guitar. The metaphor of mutilation is the literary and musical program. Collage technique reflects a chopped-off experience of reality. First poetic early romanticism, then dehumanized expressionism. Between "Blumen und Sonnenschein" and "IchloseNervensindvollFurchtundWeinen" - country and folk dissolved in the drone of monotonous kraut riffs, drifting into spacey synths and feedback noise. In addition: lively Schmiersuff and psychedelic bossa nova. The enemy of the poetic world view is and was alienated labor: the invincibility of capitalism mutilates the subject. The result is chopped-up country sadness: NoCountry!
