Born in Bremerhaven, transatlantic bridgehead. American father, funk and soul since childhood. Very early fun with turntables, soon keen on hip hop culture. Cutting, mixing, rocking. With one driving idea from day one: To be original. Establish your own sound. Spinning a red thread. Leave a musical footprint. Never doing the same thing from start to finish, but always remaining the same.

Three decades at the turntables. That means constantly looking left and right. Gathering influences and incorporating everything into your own work. Filtering, chopping and reassembling from scratch. For the stage, for the club, for the DJ orchestra. Or for your own album on extra-heavy vinyl.

DJ Stylewarz has been going straight for years, never crooked. And this despite the fact that his reference list weighs a ton.
