Due sopra il Basso

Since 2016, the three-piece ensemble Due sopra il Basso has been delighting audiences with concertante and scenic programs of early music. In an unusual formation - two singers and a lutenist - music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods is brought to life. The lute, theorbo and baroque guitar were so-called basso continuo instruments at the time. Hence the name: "Two above the bass" - Due sopra il Basso. Some projects also brought the ensemble together with basso continuo players in order to make the historical sound world even more multifaceted
