Elif Ürse quickly began her artistic career and was one of the founders of the independent theater group Stüdyo Drama in 2003. In this ensemble, she took part in important productions such as Les bonnes and Chaos and attracted attention with her stage performances. From 2004, she worked at the theaters of Bakırköy Municipality, where she received great recognition for her roles in plays such as Les bonnes (J. Genet), Marigolds (P. Zindel), Ridiculous Darkness (W. Lotz).

Elif Ürse was one of the founders of the independent theater collectives Oyun Deposu in 2007 and OYUN HAVASI in 2010 and performed in various plays of these ensembles. The play Ugly Human Kitten in particular attracted great international attention and was performed in countries such as Germany, France and Switzerland. In 2018, she staged The Sunset in the Valley at the Hambach Festival, which received very good reviews. Elif Ürse, who is also successful in her film career, has appeared in films such as Sea Level (2014), The Sister (2019) and Corridor (2021). She appeared at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival with her role in the film Kuru Otların Üstüne (On Dry Herbs) directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Elif Ürse, who held an active position in the management of Bakırköy Municipal Theater between 2015 and 2019, made an important contribution to the international development of BBT during this period. At the same time, she contributed to the education of young talents by teaching acting at Haliç University Conservatory and Famelog Academy. She is also a lecturer at the Mimar Sinan Conservatory.

Elif Ürse, a name frequently mentioned in the art world, has won numerous awards in both theater and film. In 2010, she won the Young Talent Award at the Sadri Alışık Theatre Awards and the Lions Theatre Awards. She was also awarded Best Actress at the Direklerarası Audience Awards and the Yeni Theatre Magazine Awards. In 2020, she was awarded Best Actress at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for her performance in the film.
