Emily Velroyen is German dream pop with intricate lyrics. Energetic, dreamy and imaginative, Emily translates the themes of a young person in the hustle and bustle of the big city into authentic lyrics and vivid images. "I'm here to make you feel something for a moment" - with this claim, the 22-year-old sits down at the piano and puts the lines on paper.

In the kaleidoscope of Emily's songs, exciting harmonies coincide with catchy melodies and lyrics to create colorful soundscapes.

Musically, her music is influenced by singers such as Aurora and Olivia Dean, while her inspiration for lyrically expressive German songs comes from artists such as Schmyt, Paula Hartmann and AnnenMayKantereit.

The 22-year-old songwriter has been studying songwriting with Anikó Kanthak at the Cologne University of Music and Dance since 2022 and has built up a valuable community of musicians there.
