The Ensemble KNM Berlin stands for the lively, contemporary music scene in the metropolis of Berlin. Founded in 1988, the ensemble presents compositions, concert installations and concert projects worldwide in close cooperation with the artists. The programs are driven by a curiosity for the unknown and an exploration of the essential themes of our time. The KNM Berlin has become internationally renowned not only through its repeated guest performances at important music festivals such as ars musica Brussels and the Donaueschingen Music Days, but also through its own productions and concert tours. Since 2016, the KNM has been increasingly involved in musical, multi-perspective networking around the world. Whether in Argentina, India, Japan, Cambodia, Korea, Mexico or Taiwan - the musicians of Ensemble KNM Berlin address the pressing issues of globalization with surprising concepts and intercultural collaborations.
