Ezra Furman is a boundary-pushing artist whose fearless creativity and emotional honesty have made her one of the most compelling voices in modern music. With her blend of punk energy, heartfelt lyricism and genre-bending innovation, Furman's work is both deeply personal and universally relevant. This year saw the release of her 10th album Goodbye Small Head.

"If I were a music journalist, I'd call it an orchestral emo-prog-rock record peppered with samples. Luckily I'm not a music journalist!" explains Ezra. "I find this music cinematic and intense. A friend of mine said it sounds like 'the coolest movie soundtrack of 1997', and I'm very happy with that description. We added a small string section to eight of the twelve tracks and used samples for the first time. Apart from that, this record offers something that is almost an anachronism: a band that has been playing real instruments together for over a decade and is intuitively in touch with the other musicians. Four musicians in a room who know exactly how to react to each other."

Over the course of her illustrious career, she has also recorded the soundtrack for the Netflix hit series Sex Education and written Lou Reed: Transformer for the series 33 ⅓. Ezra Furman's music is a testament to the power of individuality and authenticity, making her a truly unique voice in modern music.
