Faktótum
Faktótum, we already had them in our luggage at SO36 last year and said to ourselves, "Let's do it again!" Faktótum was founded in mid-2009. Before that, singer José María de Páiz had spent a year composing songs that he thought could be played by a band. This guitarist by accident, who has already left his mark on groups such as Goma 2 or Unabomber, has always been known on the island more for his skills with a pen than with six strings. In fact, up to almost a dozen island bands have used his lyrics and he has also published two novels and the book "Héroes del rock canario".
It was J.M. de Páiz - renamed "Bomb" for the new project - who knocked on the doors of Mame Spínola, probably the best rock'n'roll artist in the region. The former leader of the mythical Cerrajeros, interested in the material and proposed a series of musicians to form the Faktótum project.The drums had first and last names, it was to be played by a historic rock in the Canary Islands, Sergio de Páiz, "El Potaje", who had already marked legendary bands such as Marca Acme or Ataúd Vacante.
The gods of rock were generous and tried to get a powerful Jorge Díaz, former member of Fuck'em All, Pechuga Band, Motorower, AMR and El Cuarto Ambulante, to play the four strings.Two albums were released and about thirty concerts were given on the islands, accompanied by the best bands of the archipelago.The musical style is rock with a lot of punk and in some songs it approaches other musical styles such as reggae, funk or metal.
