Falschgeld are young, from Munich and make dirty indie pop rock with German lyrics, stylistically somewhere between TonSteineScherben, Wanda and AnnenMayKantereit.
The most solid half-strength riot! high fun factor! no consideration for losses!
The punky attitude of the four pop louts, who have been making music together since childhood and deliver a correspondingly powerful performance, meets profound and thought-provoking lyrics in rich contrast.
Falschgeld's debut album (release December 2023) was produced with the help of Franz Ferdinand guitarist Nick McCarthy.
Shortly afterwards, they won the BR Heimatsound Wettebwerb 2024 and opened the festival of the same name at the Passionstheater Oberammergau on 02.08.2024.
They are currently working on their second album - this time with none other than Moses Schneider (Beatsteaks, Tocotronic, Bukahara, Ohrbooten and others) in the producer's chair.
