Fritz Kalkbrenner

Fritz Kalkbrenner was born in East Berlin in 1981, spent his youth there and, following in the footsteps of his brother Paul, discovered the Berlin techno scene. As part of the soundtrack production for a small Berlin underground film at the time, "Sky & Sand" became part of "Berlin Calling" in 2008 with Fritz's vocal contribution and achieved worldwide cult status.

Based on this experience, Fritz Kalkbrenner set about producing his own music and teamed up with the Berlin label SUOL in 2010. After a few 12-inch albums, "Here Today Gone Tomorrow" was released at the end of 2010 and presented an appealing draft of electronic club music in a soul context. The media response and the public's enthusiasm for the debut were overwhelming. Tracks such as "Facing the Sun" and "Kings in Exile" were hailed as highlights. The musical formula consists of his distinctive voice and the analog, mostly "warm" sounding house beats.

After ending his collaboration with SUOL and taking some time out, he launched his own label "Nasua Music" at the end of 2018 and immediately began producing fresh new music with a new creative team. In addition to numerous successful projects in the following years, his last studio album "True Colours" was released in 2020, followed by a completely sold-out tour in 2021 - including a sold-out show at the Berlin Velodrom.

Numerous festival shows have already been confirmed for the new single "Waiting for the Sun", which is due to be released on 28.07.23, and a tour with shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is planned for this year.
