Daniela Dewes - representational painting in Munich
I have been painting and drawing my surroundings since I was a child and teenager, which is why I studied art after leaving school and focused on painting. In addition to my family and job, I regularly devote myself to painting, whereby I am fascinated by the life around me. I am always on the lookout for motifs and situations that I can incorporate into my paintings, capturing them in drawings and photographs and then turning them into paintings. I prefer acrylic paints because they dry quickly, are easy to paint over, can be used in both glazes and impasto and suit my rather direct and spontaneous painting style. I also occasionally use oil paints for smaller formats. I find most of my motifs in my home town of Munich and its surroundings, but I also like to capture travel impressions and personal areas of interest in my paintings. This site is intended to give you an impression of my work and I would be delighted if you like it!
