In the artist's words:

We love to sing and enjoy it!
We like it loud, but we can also sing quietly.
We are young, some even a little younger, we come with or without hair.

We are cheerful, exuberant, but also thoughtful and contemplative.
We rehearse in Ludwigshafen, more precisely in Rheingönheim,

but our members come from all over the Rhine-Neckar-Palatinate region.
We like it colorful, but we also wear black.
We sing for wedding couples, for churchgoers, for children and senior citizens,

for day-trippers or visitors to trade fairs,

for a great Rheingönheim audience, but also in foreign places.

No matter where, we always sing with heart!

Heaven's Gate e.V. has existed in the Rheingönheim district of Ludwigshafen since 1999. The choir has made a name for itself through regular performances and activities in the district, in the metropolitan region and beyond.

There are now 60 active singers in the SATB ensemble. The magnificent soloists also come from the choir's own ranks and delight the audience with their unique voices. In keeping with its name, Heaven's Gate sings gospels and spirituals as well as modern and well-known musical melodies. However, the repertoire also includes jazz and current pop pieces in the choir's own version. Some choir pieces are arranged by the choirmaster especially for Heaven's Gate.

The choir is accompanied at concerts by a professional band made up of young musicians from the region, who complete the choral sound with plenty of groove.

The young and talented choirmaster Luca Rodrigues has been leading the singers, musicians and soloists with a sure hand and infectious musical enthusiasm since 2018.
