In the artist's words:

HEAR ME OUT is a young, queer band from Bielefeld founded at the end of 2021. The five members Jonas, Lizzy, Marco, Lars and Laurenz move stylistically between post-punk and dark indie rock and incorporate influences from new wave and punk. They are influenced by classics such as The Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees as well as current references such as Placebo and Fontaines D.C.

The band's sound combines melodic guitars, analog synthesizers and energetic vocals to create a dense, captivating atmosphere. HEAR ME OUT consistently seeks out the stage, attaches great importance to an intense live experience and consciously shows itself to be emotional and vulnerable. In terms of content, the band takes a clear stance against all forms of discrimination and is committed to the visibility of the queer community. Their music builds a bridge between the past and present of the genre and also opens up post-punk to a young audience.

With their debut EP "Permanent Thoughts" (released on March 22, 2024), the band found their coherent, partly experimental, yet catchy sound. Live, HEAR ME OUT works with strong visual components such as specially developed light installations, artistic presentations on tube televisions and beamer projections. Concerts have taken them to festivals such as Gothic Pogo in Leipzig, Wallungen in Hildesheim, Campus Festival Bielefeld and Artist Unlimited Sommerfest in Bielefeld. The band has already supported international acts such as Margaritas Podridas, Skating Polly, RVG and DEAFDEAFDEAF in venues such as the Forum, Gleis22 and Café Glocksee. An album entitled "Summer" has been announced and is scheduled for release on September 5.
