Heinz Strunk

In the artist's words:

The writer, musician and actor Heinz Strunk was born in Hamburg in 1962. Since his first novel "Fleisch ist mein Gemüse" (Meat is my Vegetable), he has published eleven more books. "The Golden Glove" was on the bestseller list for months; the film adaptation by Fatih Akin screened in competition at the Berlinale. In 2016, the author was honored with the Wilhelm Raabe Prize. Both his novel "Es ist immer so schön mit dir" and "Ein Sommer in Niendorf" were nominated for the German Book Prize. In June 2023, Rowohlt will publish his new collection of stories "Der gelbe Elefant", followed by the illustrated adventure story "Die Käsis" from Carlsen at the end of July 2023.
