Hexenberg Ensemble

In the artist's words:

With over 30 years of acting experience, the Hexenberg Ensemble enriches the Pfefferberg Theater. In 1994, an acting group began performing theater in the backyard of a squat in Schönhauser Allee - called Hexenkessel Hoftheater. In 1999, the ensemble moved to Monbijoupark and became known throughout the city with its fairytale huts and amphitheater.

In 2015, the performers found their own home at the Pfefferberg Theater and took the concept with them: From November to February, the program includes newly interpreted fairytale classics for adults or children. The venue is the Glaspalast in the beer garden of the Schankhalle Pfefferberg. The glass event location was built especially for the Hexenbergler and, with its rustic bar and wooden furniture, is an inviting place, especially in the colder months.
