Holger Fabianski - Painting in the field of tension between control and freedom

Holger Fabianski lives and works in Cologne. With roots in product design, he brings a rational view of form, material and their use. His abstract paintings move between compression and dissolution, stillness and movement, control and freedom. Deliberate settings meet spontaneous processes, hard and soft materials obey or determine - planned and organic forms emerge.

In this way, a field of tension unfolds between chance and intention, ego and humility, rationality and intuition. What can I influence and what should I influence? Where is my place? Where am I possibly obstructive or destructive? Where am I valuable and supportive?
