Thiago Genthil Band

Thiago Genthil is an artist who does not limit himself to one discipline. The singer, songwriter, actor and multi-instrumentalist comes from Rio de Janeiro and has established himself as a versatile musician with two albums, an EP and over 35 songs. His concert tours have taken him through Europe, the USA and Asia.

A special moment in his career was a performance at the Stockholm Concert Hall in 2014, when he was invited as part of a tribute to Antonio Carlos Jobim - accompanied by renowned musicians such as Paulo Braga, Nelson Faria and his Big Band and Sinfonietta.

Jobim's influence can still be heard in Genthil's music today: a subtle use of melody, harmonic sophistication, a penchant for simplicity. His pieces never sound loud, but they resonate for a long time - and remind us that great music is often created in the nuances.
