In the artist's words:

The sound of Index F developed from the gentle waves of funk and blues. Between catchy guitar riffs, funky bass lines and soulful vocals, Index F always keep the balance and surprise with danceable rhythms.

The four guys not only share a love of music, but also a love of architecture. Damir, Paul and Stephan met as former work colleagues in 2018 and always had the plan to form a combo. The quartet was complete when Ferdinand also started working at their former Leipzig architecture firm in 2019.

Musically, they are oriented towards the sound of funk and soul from the 70s and 80s, wrapping it in the colors of rock and skillfully transporting it into the sound world of the present.
