In the artist's words:

INTERSTELLAR 2 2 7 is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The ensemble has been performing staged music productions since 2015. It is about mixing, overlapping and separating improvisation and composition, sound and video, movement and light, text and space, tragedy and comedy, performance and concert. This Laboratotium is not subject to any epoch, but aims to juxtapose supposed opposites and open up new spaces of experience.

The two musicians Barbara Schachtner and Dorrit Bauerecker see themselves as "world builders" and cooperate with other trades. In particular with the painter and scenographer Norbert van Ackeren, whose artistically fine and comprehensive view of space can be seen as an extension of the sound spectrum of INTERSTELLAR 2 2 7.

INTERSELLAR 2 2 7 has played at various festivals, including FESTIVAL OF CHANGE Cambridge, SPARK/Vorglühen Köln, Neuland Vol.2 Tonhalle Düsseldorf, literature and music festival WEGE DURCH DAS LAND, Platzhirsch Festival Duisburg, Saarbrücker Sommermusik.

The ensemble's sponsors include the Musikfonds, the Kunststiftung NRW, the NRW Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste and the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of NRW, the Kultursekretariat Wuppertal as well as the cultural offices of the City of Cologne, Duisburg and Bochum, the Künstlerunion Köln, KuKo e.V. and others.
