JAS: "Another one who makes music"

"Another one who makes music" - that's how JAS describes himself, without any self-promotion. But his path tells a different story: growing up with Pink Floyd and Marc Cohn in his parents' living room, his first gigs in pedestrian zones and many years on the drums in the back row of various bands. Who sings, who takes center stage - that wasn't JAS for a long time. Until he became one.

From Tübingen to Berlin: how it all began

JAS comes from Tübingen and moved to Berlin straight after leaving school to do an apprenticeship. At a concert in Kreuzberg, he met two new friends with whom he recorded his first demos as a singer/songwriter in his own room shortly afterwards. What was originally only intended as a pastime soon turned out to be something completely different.

"Winterherz": the moment that changed everything

At the end of 2023, JAS uploaded his first original song to TikTok - and the internet reacted immediately. "Winterherz" went viral, was streamed almost 1.7 million times on Spotify within a week and reached number 62 in the German charts. The song now has almost 20 million streams - all because a young guy from Tübingen simply put a song on the internet. JAS is now under contract with Polydor/Universal Music.

His latest single "Die Jugend hat Angst" (2026) shows that JAS is not standing still - and that he does not shy away from social issues.
