Jay The Bird - a name to remember if you love honest, handmade music.
music. The four-piece blues-rock band from Hamburg combines raw energy with modern
modern influences from pop and funk. Whether in intimate club shows or on big stages,
the band creates a vibrant atmosphere with every performance and an audience that simply
groove along.
Founded by four musicians with roots in Hamburg, the Netherlands and Bali, Jay
The Bird is more than just a band - it is an international project with heart and soul. On the
Daniel Rothe plays the drums, Oda Roerdink plucks the bass and Timmy Hemsen and David Knaerdink play the guitars.

Their debut single "Phoenix", which was released on December 27, 2024, was a special
collaboration with the renowned Indonesian blues-rock guitarist Gugun
Blues Shelter and left a lasting impression. But that was just the beginning: since
January 2025, their EP "It Might Get Loud" has shown just how powerful and versatile their music is.
Jay The Bird is a band that you have to experience live - powerful vocals, catchy riffs
and a groove that stays in your ears long after the last song. The journey has just
has only just begun.

In May 2026, the band is expanding its sonic spectrum with a deluxe unplugged
version of the EP "It Might Get Loud". The acoustic arrangements put songwriting,

dynamics and emotion to the fore and reveal a new, intimate side to the band.
As a small foretaste, the new single "Ginger The Cat" will be released on Friday, March 13.
