Jazz, chanson and soul interpreted with style and humor by a legendary voice and brilliant musicians - this is what Jacqueline Boulanger, the jazz voice of the North, stands for. The Berlin-born Afro-German with French roots scores with passion and a spirited presentation of her understanding of jazz. One almost imagines oneself back in the days of a great Sarah Vaughan or Carmen McRea, with contemporary grooves. Arrangements for which Tino Derado, pianist and musical director of the band, is responsible. The Rostock-based singer regularly causes a sensation on the jazz scene and is currently conquering the country's jazz festivals. Modern jazz at its best with songs from Cole Porter to Michel Legrand that sound convincingly different and are simply fun to listen to.
