When elements of pop, gospel and soul come together, it usually becomes expansive, profound and emotional - the sound of British artist Jerub is no exception. In 2021, Jerub's sound first gained attention when he was entered into a talent search by British radio station BBC1, which the Nigerian-born musician knew how to put to good use. He began releasing singles in which he combines touching storytelling with stirring sounds, leaving his listeners cold on two levels in the best sense of the word. With his open thoughts and feelings, Jerub is reminiscent of genre greats such as Myles Smith, Lewis Capaldi or Sam Smith, when he once again lets his powerful voice climb effortlessly to heights and depths. In the same year, the musician from Nottingham released his debut EP "Feel it", whose title says it all. Jerub released further singles and EPs in the following years, most recently the album "Carry The Load" in 2024, in which Jerub reflects on his new life as an artist and growing up in general. A debut album has yet to be released - but for now, the artist is going on tour anyway. In November of this year, the Brit will also be heading to Berlin as part of his "The Wonder Years" tour, where the emotional sound will be brought to life on the live stage.
