Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr

In the artist's words:

Even as a teenager, Julian Wasserfuhr was regarded as the greatest exceptional German talent on the trumpet since Till Brönner.

Together with his brother Roman on the piano, he forms an inseparable pair.

Their (spiritual) affinity benefits their joint playing. The familiarity of the brothers lends the music a relaxed and effortless character.

Whether on trumpet or flugelhorn, Julian is not a representative of the higher-faster-further faction. With his warm tone, he creates atmospheric soundscapes. With his accentuated, radiant piano playing, his brother Roman is no less involved in the band's fresh, yet mature and airy sound.

After their highly acclaimed debut Remember Chet, which the two recorded as teenagers, they took off on the German jazz scene.

They were soon playing with greats such as Nils Landgren, Lars Danielsson and
Wolfgang Haffner, while at the same time finding their own characteristic, melodic and atmospheric "Wasserfuhr sound":
