Juliane Laake

Juliane Laake studied viola da gamba at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen and at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Numerous master classes with international artists completed her training.

In her personal concert programs and CD productions, Juliane Laake, accompanied by her ensemble Art d'Echo, devotes herself with dedication to the viola da gamba literature in all its facets, especially the less frequently heard. Numerous critically acclaimed world premiere recordings attest to her demanding research work and her highly virtuosic and moving viola da gamba playing.

Her CDs have been nominated several times for the German Record Critics' Award, the International Classical Music Award (ICMA) and the OPUS Klassik.
