Junges Ensemble Musiktheater

The Junges Ensemble Musiktheater (JEM) creates continuous, creative spaces in which 100 children and young people from different parts of Hamburg work together with professional artists to conduct interdisciplinary research, develop music theater and bring their own ideas to the stage. Thanks to long-term funding from the Claussen Simon Foundation and Kulturforum21, weekly rehearsals, smaller performances and two large-scale projects can be realized over the next three years, which will also be shown at children's and youth theatre festivals. This will enable sustainable artistic and personal development of the children and young people as well as the establishment of JEM as an integral part of Hamburg's cultural scene.
