In the artist's words:

The chamber choir Cantamo Köln was founded in 2009 as an independent association.

Since then, the choir's repertoire has primarily comprised music from the 19th and 20th centuries, including a cappella compositions as well as works with organ or piano accompaniment and soloist participation. When compiling its programs, the choir attaches particular importance to complementing so-called "classics" of sophisticated choral literature with rarely performed music in a meaningful and lively way.
