Karin Stumpf's approach to material, color and embroidery has established her as an exciting artist with an unmistakable technique. A traveler at heart, she has always drawn on the impressions of her explorations. Her paintings are composed of successive layers, offering different levels of visibility that create a tension between surface and depth: their superimpositions and transparency create an aesthetic reminiscent of the workings of memory.
