In the artist's words:

Kaylab's musical career began when he was just 6 years old. He could barely stand before he was wildly hammering away on his father's drums. This hammering gradually turned into rhythms.

After a career in punk and crossover bands, he discovered electronic dance music in 1995. After a year-long struggle between rejection and fascination with electronic beats, the first turntables and the first vinyl records followed. Since then, crossfaders, controllers and black, round disks have defined his world. He quickly established himself as a jungle and later drum & bass DJ. Bookings at the biggest national events such as Kings of the Jungle, One Nation, Exemption and Dreamland followed.

In 1998, the Payin' Clients' Crew was founded with a few colleagues. They organized many events in Bremen, Hamburg, Hanover and the surrounding area.

In 2000, a new sound from England aroused his interest: UK Garage. An interesting mix of house, electro, drum & bass, black...a bit of everything. Combined with speedy 4x4 beats and heavy basslines, it was a completely new sound experience. He quickly fell in love with this style of music. Around the same time, he met Mc Motion, who had just discovered the microphone for himself. They complemented each other to form a perfect musical symbiosis. From then on, the two went on a crusade to bring Uk Garage closer to Germany. They did so with great success. International bookings followed.

To this day, tunes from this period can be found in almost every one of his sets. What characterizes Kaylab's sets is the shameless mixture of various styles that have shaped him for over 12 years now. Besides electrohouse (his new passion), garage, 2-step, nuskool breakz and even dubstep tracks are mixed into his sets.

This unusual mix of styles and his ability to read the audience like a book earned him 1st place for Best DJ at the Prinz Awards in 2008. At the end of 2008, Kaylab decided to take over the NFF Club together with his father. He is now a regular resident DJ at the club, where he gets the crowd going.

In 2010 he won the Movida Corona Dj Contest in Bremen and qualified for the German final. Here he won against the top 6 in Germany, reached the final with two opponents and took second place!
