Live performances with Good Old Jazz and Jazz for Children quickly developed from a hobby into a successful second artistic biography for Kira Frenk. Performances at Jazz Montez, Kulturcafe Windrose Oberursel and Dr. Hoch's Konservatorium gave the audience goose bumps. Kira Frenk's vocal style combines the lightness of American swing with emphatically emotional nuances. Her repertoire ranges from blues to bossa nova and always emphasizes the interplay between music and lyrics. The result is a musical conversation with the audience, always as surprising as a jazz improvisation.

What makes the Jazz For Kids concerts special?

The concert scenario designed by Kira Frenk includes a carefully selected song program, for which special child-friendly arrangements of jazz classics were made by a composer. The history of jazz is illustrated by means of accessible song content and historically stylized costumes. Elements of jazz music, such as syncopation, are played through with a professional accompanying musician together with children. A slide show with portraits of musicians and illustrations of song lyrics rounds off the sophisticated program.

Who is the target audience?

Although the Jazz For Kids concerts are primarily aimed at children, adults also get their money's worth here. All of the songs are set in the context of everyday themes from life with children that are familiar to all parents. Children's reluctance to get things in order, morning rituals and fantasies are played out and sung about with a great deal of humor.
