Knipp Gumbo

In the artist's words:

Knipp Gumbo is the name of the Low German program of drummer, singer, guitarist and songwriter Lars Köster.

After several years behind the drums with Die Mimmi's and Velvetone, among others, making his musical contribution to the overall situation, Mr. Köster grabbed his guitar, which he normally only used for songwriting, to put himself in the spotlight without the protective drum wall and indulge in the uninhibited fun principle with a good pinch of "schiet wat op".

Based on the Low German "one guitar - one voice - a bunch of songs" solo program of drummer, singer, guitarist and songwriter Lars Köster, there will also be a band version in January 2021, parallel to the release of the first CD, with the following line-up

• Steff Ulrich: drums, vocals (Die Antwort, Velvetone, Dimple Minds)
• Andy Merck: bass, vocals (Rumble On The Beach, Velvetone, Dimple Minds)
• Lars Köster: vocals, guitar (Die Mimmi's, Velvetone)

The musical meal is hearty - hearty: Rock 'n' Roll, Americana and Pub Rock between the Paladins, Dr. Feelgood and Buddy Miller.
They perform their own songs from various creative periods and selected cover versions. And as if that wasn't enough, the whole thing is served with Low German lyrics!
