Krefelder Kammerchor

In the artist's words:

The Kammerchor Krefeld e.V. was founded in May 1984 and made its debut under the direction of Hans Lohberg, former choir director of the Vereinigte Städtische Bühnen Krefeld-Mönchengladbach, in January 1985 with the "Petite Messe Solennelle" by G. Rossini.

Under the direction of Gerald Joswowitz, who took over the choir in November 1992, demanding works by Bach, Mozart and Telemann were performed. Since September 2011, the choir has been under the direction of Roland Stuers. The repertoire of the choir, which now consists of 45 singers, includes oratorios as well as sacred and secular choral music from the Renaissance to modern times.

In addition to regular concerts in and around Krefeld, the choir has performed in Kevelaer (St. Mary's Basilica), Cologne (Groß St. Martin) and Neuss (Quirinus-Münster).

Concert tours in the past have taken the choir to Leicester, Leiden and Wroclaw.
