In the artist's words:
Dagmar Maria Toschka
Born in the Lower Rhine region, Dagmar Maria Toschka—after brief stints in a convent and on the assembly line of a cookie factory—earned her high school diploma in Geldern. She studied literature, education, and psychology, and worked in England, the U.S., and Canada. Later, she worked as a radio reporter and in the tourism industry, published a travel magazine, and eventually became an author and instructor in creative writing. She usually writes her books at the crime scene or on a boat in the Port of Cologne. In her crime novels, Dagmar Maria Toschka depicts not only murder cases but also extraordinary ways of life—always with humor and suspense.
