In the artist's words:

KUMMER is the solo project of Felix Kummer, who you may already know as the frontman of the Chemnitz band Kraftklub. While Kraftklub stands for indie rock and danceable guitar riffs, KUMMER goes really deep in its solo stuff. There are honest lyrics, melancholy beats and socio-critical themes - all wrapped up in a sound that oscillates somewhere between German rap, indie pop and electro.

His debut album "KIOX" was released in 2019 and immediately made waves. Songs like "Nicht die Musik", "Bei Dir" (with Max Raabe!) and "Schiff" get under your skin. They deal with insecurities, one's own role in society, origins and growing up - but always with attitude and a message.

In 2022, he announced that the KUMMER chapter would end with the big farewell tour "KUMMER KIOX Tour". And as it happens, the guy remains unpredictable and is sure to reappear in new projects. Whether solo, with Kraftklub or something in between - but all our fingers are crossed that KUMMER will also make a comeback at some point.
