Lener has actually been making music for a long time. She originally comes from a classical background, did her A-levels on the guitar and grew up in a musical family. In 2012, she founded a jazzy indie pop duo with her sister Sophie. Under the name SweetLemon, the siblings released two albums, were streamed hundreds of thousands of times on Spotify, played a lot live and won several newcomer awards. At the beginning of 2022, Lener finally launched her solo project and sang the main vocals for the first time. With success: her first single release "It's Never Easy" landed directly in three major Spotify playlists. Today, Lener sounds rockier and louder. She listened to bands such as The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club and Phoenix when she was at school, and now listens to The Linda Lindas and Brockhoff, among others. Lener loves loud band rehearsals, the sound of distorted guitars over tube amps and studio sessions until dawn.
