LOKI

In the artist's words:

If there's one thing LOKI can do, it's write songs about open wounds, music as a plaster, great melodies as a small consolation. This is already clear in the chorus of their debut "The Girl With No Eyes", when singer Marc Grünhäuser sings: "Oh she was standing there/ blindfolded on the eye/ oh she was standing there/ and it was love the first sight". The song has almost a million streams on Spotify alone. "Rightly so", you want to shout! Because although LOKI are still considered newcomers, it all sounds so clever, so mature, so completely without apropos. A lot has happened in the last four years: The three EPs "The Tales of Antheon the Rabbit", "Intimacy" and "Cycles" have earned LOKI comparisons to artists such as Bon Iver or Apparat. With an award at the popNRW Prize 2020 in their luggage, LOKI became an eight-piece band: with strings, wind instruments and polyphonic vocals. This was followed by appearances at c/o Pop, the Reeperbahn Festival and two tours of Germany.
