Luciano Biondini

In the artist's words:

Luciano Biondini was born in Spoleto in 1971 and began studying the accordion at the age of ten with the Italian teacher Renzo Tomassetti. After a classical education, he won numerous international prizes (Trophée Mondial de l'Accordéon, International Prize of Castelfidardo).

Although he loves classical music, he feels that his path is different. Before discovering it, however, he took a five-year break - away from music and his instrument. At the age of 25, thanks to his encounter with the guitarist Valter Ferrero, he approached jazz and realized that he had found his path.

He regularly works with Rabih Abou-Khalil, Rita Marcotulli, Danilo Rea, Andreas Schaerer, Kalle Kalima, Javier Girotto, Fabrizio Bosso, Rosario Giuliani, Michel Godard, Ernst Reijseger, Battista Lena and Andreas Schaerer. In Cologne, he has already performed with the Cologne Contemporary Orchestra and most recently with Hans Lüdemann at the Cologne Jazzweek.
