In the artist's words:

Lyn&TheFingers is a young jazz and progressive-pop band from Leipzig, brought together by their joint jazz/pop music studies at the HMT in Leipzig in February 2023. It consists of Nora Lyn Handschuh on vocals, Marvin Uhlig on flute, Julius Bode on trumpet and flugelhorn, Caspar Rutsch on tenor sax, Anna Siroshtan on piano, Guillermo Valdivia on double bass and Christoph Sprenger on drums.

A lot has happened since the band was founded in February 2023. The ensemble has played several concerts in various concert venues in Leipzig and the surrounding area. They did this both as session openers (Cafe Lux, Moritzbastei or at Mascha & C-Keller Weimar) and as full-length concerts (Beyerhaus & Horns Erben Leipzig, Markkleeberger Lichterfest & Bluenote Dresden). Another tour beyond the city limits is planned for July 2025.

Led by singer Nora Lyn, the music fuses jazz with alternative pop elements in their own compositions and arrangements. She deliberately crosses stylistic boundaries and integrates influences from progressive and experimental genres as well as neo-soul. Nora's lyrics deal with deep emotions, coping with problems, thoughts about politics and climate change, as well as ironic stories to empathize with.
