In the artist's words:

My name is Marc Pompl and my passion is oil painting. I have been dedicated to art since 2014 and create realistic works that include landscapes, seascapes, starry skies, portraits and nudes. I am particularly fascinated by the interplay of light and color - the way a ray of sunlight makes a wave glow or the night sky takes on an almost tangible depth.

My painting technique is based on classic layering techniques: From the initial underpainting to the finest details, each painting is created with patience and dedication. I draw inspiration from great masters such as Vermeer, Peder Mork Mønsted and Andrew Tischler and translate their timeless aesthetics into my own visual language.

For me, art is more than just a visual experience - it tells stories, evokes emotions and creates special moods. My aim is to create images that touch people, fill rooms with atmosphere and give pleasure for a long time.
