María José Llergo is a standout voice in contemporary flamenco, blending traditional roots with modern, urban sounds. Born in rural Pozoblanco, Córdoba, her music is deeply emotional, honoring flamenco tradition while embracing new, innovative directions. In 2021, she recorded two sessions for A Colors Show: La Luz and Tu Piel.

Just a year later she became the face of a campaign for fashion brand Loewe alongside Rossy De Palma, establishing her status as a national flamenco icon. In 2024, she starred in a Tiny Desk Session, amassing over 388,000 views in just two months. Her latest album, Ultrabelleza , was selected by Rolling Stone as one of the 50 best Spanish-language albums of 2023.
