Martina Thiele

Martina Thiele (Dr. disc. pol.) is a professor at the Institute of Media Studies at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Chair of Digitalization and Social Responsibility. Her research and teaching focuses on communication theories and media history, the public sphere, gender media studies and research into stereotypes and prejudice. Prof. Thiele has written numerous books and journal articles, including monographs on "Media and Stereotypes" and "Journalistic Controversies about the Holocaust in Film". She is co-editor of the German and English-language journal "Journalistik"/"Journalism Research" and presents current books by journalists in each issue.
