Would you like to freshen up your closet without breaking the bank and be sustainable at the same time? Then our clothes swap is just the thing for you. Here you can swap your discarded clothes for new favorites and make a contribution to greater sustainability and waste avoidance.

Throwaway culture, overconsumption and fast fashion have led to a situation where we in Germany live in a state of clothing abundance. Every 5th newly purchased item of clothing is never worn and disappears forever in the closet or ends up unused in the bin. But there is a simple solution: swap instead of buying new.

Join meinsfürdeins and come to the AWB clothes swap!

• When: Saturday, November 22, 2025 ll 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Where: AWB administration building in Cologne Kalk ll Dillenburger Str. 98, 51105 Cologne

Free admission - registration is not necessary.

This clothes swap takes place as part of the EWAV - European Week for Waste Pre vention (European Week for Waste Prevention | EWAV).

It's that simple:

• Bring a maximum of 10 items of clothing and hand them in
  and then simply...
• Find and take a maximum of 10 items of clothing

What can be swapped?

• Women's and men's clothing
• Condition of clothing: washed, clean, intact
• Please not: shoes, underwear, socks, accessories and swimwear

What else is available?

• Read-aloud event with LeseWelten (13:00 to 15:00)
• Learning about waste separation through play
• Upcycling sales stand from Casa Blanca (SKF Cologne)
• Culinary delights from Halal mit Krawall
