MENSTRUATION MASSACRE - PUNK AS RESISTANCE

Menstruationsmassaker is more than a band, it is a musical and political struggle. Born out of the necessity to stand up against abusive structures, the band stands for radical self-determination and resistance against oppression in the punk scene and beyond.

The history of Menstruationsmassaker is characterized by rebellion and reappropriation. Originally founded under a different name, the confrontation with abuse and misuse of power forced them to make a drastic decision: either the perpetrators leave or the band breaks up. The choice fell on the resistance. With renewed strength, a clear focus and the uncompromising will not to be silenced, Menstruation Massacre became what it is today: a loud, unmistakable no to patriarchal structures and a yes to solidarity, self-determination and anger as the driving force.
