Mirjam-Luise Münzel

In the artist's words:

Mirjam-Luise Münzel studied recorder, baroque cello and viola da gamba in Bremen, Seville, London and Berlin, including as a scholarship holder of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the DAAD.

Together with her colleagues from Trio Les Salonnières, she organizes the Alte Musik Fest Friedenau in Berlin, which combines early music with film, dance, drama, literature, painting and new music in new concert formats. Since 2023, she has also been working as a dramaturge for the Potsdam-Sanssouci Music Festival. She created the podcast Being Fanny Mendelssohn to discuss and debate burning current issues in more than just concert formats. In the coming seasons, in addition to her chamber music and solo projects, she will also musically direct larger productions, such as an opera for the Magdeburg Telemann Festival or a children's opera at the Staatstheater Hannover.

Mirjam holds a lectureship in recorder and chamber music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and is invited to teach at international master classes such as the Dartington Early Music Summer School.
