As lead singer of The Smiths, he made music history with just four albums. As a solo artist, he has created a sound that still resonates today, making him one of the most recognized voices of the last four decades. He also has two US top ten solo albums, California Son and Low in High School. His 2013 autobiography, published by Penguin Classics, spent six weeks at No. 1 and five weeks at No. 2 in the U.K. For some inexplicable reason, Morrissey and The Smiths are NOT in the Rock and Roll or Songwriters Hall of Fame.
