For a quarter of a century now, the Munich collective Express Brass Band has been on the road with around 20 musicians in the international music cosmos: as a street, wedding and funeral band, in concert halls, clubs and at festivals. The variety of instrumentalists and styles - from jazz, soul, Afrobeat, New Orleans brass and Latin to funky Maghreb tunes - contributes to the fact that the sound of the changing formations is difficult to categorize and yet remains unmistakable. And even in smaller formations as the Express Pocket Brass Band, they always manage to get the audience grooving and enthusiastic.
