In the artist's words:

Native is a six-piece band from Kraków, fascinated by 1970s funk. Their original music blends Latin grooves with jazz improvisations, and an oriental atmosphere with an action-movie flair. The band has performed in Poland and abroad, recorded the album "Live Session" in Radio Kraków, and is the winner of the "Odkrywka" festival organized by the Dworek Białoprądnicki Cultural Center in Kraków. The band also received recognition from Maciej Ulewicz on his "KrUlewicz" radio show on Chilli Zet Radio.

The musicians' inspirations come from classics such as Curtis Mayfield, Herbie Hancock and Heatwave, through sounds straight from Brazil (Arthur Verocai, Marcos Valle), as well as the music from action films (Lalo Schifrin, Dave Grusin), or nu-jazz music (Cinematic Orchestra, Bonobo).
