The New Philharmonic Orchestra Frankfurt began in 1999 as a spontaneously assembled orchestra for musical star Sarah Brightman. Soon, artists such as José Carreras, Andrea Bocelli, Udo Lindenberg, Nena and Laith Al-Deen were among the clientele, as well as legendary rock bands such as Deep Purple and Jethro Tull. The orchestra has accompanied star violinist David Garrett on ten tours and played exclusively with Robbie Williams at the Elbphilharmonie. The Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt and its 64 permanent members have been based in Hanau since 2019.
